Stories Through Everyday Objects
Every object has a story. Every memory has a place.
This exhibition brings together everyday items, cultural treasures, and personal collections that reflect the changing life of Hong Kong from the 1950s to the 1990s.
From household objects once found in almost every home, to “Made in Hong Kong” products that travelled around the world, these exhibits show the creativity, resilience, and everyday experiences of generations of Hongkongers.

Through music, cinema, comics, and personal memories, we discover how a small city developed a unique culture and identity. These objects are more than things from the past—they are reminders of family, community, and the moments that shaped Hong Kong life.
For Hong Kong immigrants, these exhibits may bring back familiar memories of home. For visitors discovering Hong Kong for the first time, they offer a glimpse into the people, traditions, and stories behind this remarkable city.
